Research and development of axial fan blade and its application to underground railway projects in Wuhan

Presents a new type of blade and conducts the performance comparison with general fans. Presents the theoretical basis of the blade design and simulates the inner velocity and pressure distribution by CFD software. The results show that the inner velocity distribution is more uniform and steady. The performance and acoustical experimental test results show that the fans total and static pressure are improved by 4% to 6% when adopting new blades, the fan noise is reduced by 2% to 3% at the high flow rate and the efficiency is improved by 3% to 5%. The test results of project application are consistent with the experimental test results.
